Macy: 17 & 18 months! Practically Perfect in Everyway ;)

Macy is blossoming! She's a ton of fun (and also getting LOTS of opinions!).
She can point to her nose, ears, eyes, hair & mouth.
She's still my best eater, but now loves variety. Items that were tried & true are now often catapulted off the tray & on to the floor! That action is also accompanied by a 'NO!'. If you guess correctly & give her what she wants, she giggles & says 'YEAH!'.  She also get's 'hangry'. Hungry angry. There is no waiting for dinner where she is concerned.

On repeat at day care she mutters, 'Daddy, bubby, daddy, bubby, daddy, bubby'.  She loves her mommy & sissy but we don't get in the rotation.

She's ALWAYS up for a laugh. She's great at her animal sounds, and I think her fish face is my favorite. I need to record that!

She's got 12 teeth with #13 & 14 almost through.

Height: 31 inches
Weight: 23 lb 9oz (62%).
Our pediatrician just updated to an electornic medical record, so I no longer get the percentages written down for me. The percentage of her height went in one ear & out the other!

Miss Independent toddling at the park!

A bee goes buzz... here she is practcing her sounds!

Think I could get her on Ellen!?

If the videos don't come through on your email, try pulling up the blog in a browser: beboobaby.blogspot.com.

This was at a church picnic. No wonder she loves her bubby!

 Rockstar!

The zoo is always a hit!

I got to ride with her on the train. She loves to sit like a big girl, so this was a dream come true for her! It will be a dream come true for me when she really can sit like a big girl & I can turn on a cartoon for her!<3 p="">

They do a lot of art at school/daycare & she enjoys it! She really enjoys coloring on my kitchen floor. And that's the difference between #1 & #3. I wouldn't have even let Owen entertain the idea of coloring on my floor. And with Macy I think, 'Well at least she's safe & occupied!".

No wonder she loves her daddy ;)

Girlfriend loves story time! I love how she crosses her ankles. (She eats this way too!)

"Mine!". She likes to feed herself!

Macy has so many words. She even said a four sentence word the other day, 'Here you go baby'. I'm pretty confident that the others weren't speaking as well at 18 months, but I can't remember, really. I'm just thrilled that she's developing normally. She loves her baby dolls, and Santa will be bringing her one of her own for Christmas. Fortunately, Amelia has been willing to share thus far.

She naps 1-2 times a day, and she's in bed by 6:30 every night! We have tried on multiple attempts to push back night time, but she just needs her sleep! She's often shuttled to many places when she really should be napping, so we just let her keep her 6:30 bedtime. She's so busy that we are often ready for her to be contained anyway ;)

Thank you for sharing in our joy for all 3 of these wonderful blessings God has entrusted to us.

Happy 4th Birthday, Amelia!

Our sweet Amelia is FOUR years old! I still remember the day we found out we
were having a girl. Time really does fly!

                                                                  Adventurous
                                                                  Maker of plans
                                                                  Excited about God
                                                                  Loving
                                                                  Imaginative
                                                                  All girl

Amelia is brave & adventurous. She rides her bicycle down the hill fast! She's also willing to take risks. She always has a plan & a back up plan. Especially when it comes to her play time! Amelia is my one kid who seems to really consider God, think about God, celebrate God, and pray specifically! Shes loving, nurturing, & sensitive (she feels all the feels), and she's a great solo player. I often find her imagining conversations between two princesses or other characters (often one is whining ;) ). She's also alllll girl. She loves ballet, accessories, princesses, tiaras, and has big opinions about how she'll wear her hair.

We celebrated her 4th birthday with Ariel.
I'm glad she also loves swimming princesses who dream big!

She is definitely a loved little girl!

Aunt Alaska & Uncle Steven (but really aunt Alaska) MADE her a mermaid costume for Halloween. So super fun! This costume was complete with a warm fuzzy cape for cold trick or treating!
Ariel never looked so good!

Big grins & giggles.

Tiny dancer. She works SO HARD at ballet. She listens well & really tries.
I love seeing her in this element.

She wrote this on a paper at school. I melted.

Bitty baby comes with us a lot of places. This day, she got to swing at the park.

A beautiful grin on a beautiful, kind, smart, & brave girl!
(We try to watch our compliments being only about things external).
Love that she is so full of JOY!

A special birthday book from daddy. That Amelia Bedelia is so literal & so silly!

She chose to go to the zoo on her actual bday. The carousel is always a hit!

I have always loved her half moon eyes.

She looks so grown up in this picture painting her toe nails with her hair pulled back & her accessories on point.

Amelia, my dear, you bring a wonderful dynamic to our family. You love big, feel big, encourage big, and are independent. You're such a nurturer, and we are blessed beyond measure to have you.

Kindergarten. Westchester Elementary. Class of 2029!

Well we are three months in to kindergarten, and I'm finally getting some thoughts down on the blog. Back in August, Owen started his full day kindergarten at Westchester Elementary school in the Kirkwood School District. The first day of school we had all of the Mimas & Papas over to share breakfast & walk to the bus together. Owen's breakfast request was crepes.. How could I say no to a 5 year old requesting crepes?!? I suspect he was requesting crepes as a vehicle to get to nutella, but, he got his request either way :)

Mom & Dad are glowing. PROUD DAY! ONE KID OUT OF DAYCARE!
Owen was a wee bit nervous!

The school put these signs in the yard of each kindergartener. I love this welcoming idea.

Owen's eacher is Mrs. Eshelman. They call themselves the Eshelminions. :)

Such a big boy at the bus stop!

Our group of bus stop neighbors! Getting to know moms in the subdivision has been a wonderful blessing over the last 3 months. It's opened up the opportunity for many mommy friendships... and hopefully comfort for Owen too.

On the first day I followed the bus to school (of course I did!), and took this pic of him getting off of the bus. He was nervous about finding his class & I wanted to make sure he was set.

We found his seat in Mrs. E's class! She is a FUN teacher. Lots of jammies days, popsicles, & games. Also lots of structure and learning. Owen's favorite part of kindergarten is PE class & recess. He's reading site words, writing sentances, adding, subtracting, measuring, thinking, and really pushing himself hard. I'm so proud of all he is learning. He comes home absolutely exhausted & silent. He does not want to be asked many questions, simply wants to unwind. I think we'll have many years ahead where I have to be careful about not berrading him with too many questions. Suggestions welcome.

Owen got a great first report card. His teacher said he's always ready to work & be any one's friend. That makes my heart fill with joy. Love this kid!
